My name is Pablo de Haas.
I have been teaching saxophone for about 30 years, but also flute, clarinet and recorder and Ewi (electric wind instrument) are among the possibilities.
I completed my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague as a performing musician Jazz. I also studied at Indiana University with the renowned educator David N Baker.
I have my own record out under the name “Juju Bros” with Anton Goudsmit and Stefan schmid and Stefan kruger among others.
I have played with many different formations including: Frafra sound, Pablo Nahar quartet, For sure, The new cool collective, Debra Carter, Sven Schuster, Polo de Haas Quartet, George Mc Rae, Jeroen van Helsdingen, Molenaar BB with the Rosenberg trio, Afo big band with Jared grant, and many more.
In my lessons I generally work from a song or a piece of music chosen by me or the student. The basic techniques: listening, tone formation, technique, timing, reading and improvising are all discussed and are applied to the chosen piece.
I cast exercises in the simplest possible form. Everything from as much peace and relaxation as possible so that learning new skills can take place without stress.
Come take a trial lesson and see if it is something for you!
